The BT-247 was originally a custom order made for a client who needed a knife to open barrels at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, After the design was complete, we realized the knife was truly an exceptional carry piece and we just had to make it available to the public. Since then, we’re happy to say the BT-247 has gone on to become our best selling knife of all time, a true representation of the Bliss craft that we are proud to sell to this day!

  • 1st, I'd like to thank you for sharing your skilled craftsmanship with those of us blessed to find you! Made to order it arrived on time, mid-June. We've used it several times/week since as we feed our dogs a raw diet which includes a large % of bone. This is THE tool we needed to prep their meals! The ULTIMATE CLEAVER has some serious weight, excellent balance, & has stayed so sharp. My husband & I both use it several times/week and we LOVE this cleaver!! It does require more care than stainless blades we're used to~We immed wash, dry & oil after each use but it's worth the time & care. The damascus steel is aesthetically so beautiful, feels so strong and seems it will be reliable for generations to come. I am hopeful that with cont'd care we will someday be able to pass it on to our children. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you!
